Changing Authenticator Device
Modified on: Fri, 29 Nov 2024 10:26 AMIf you have purchased a new mobile phone but kept the existing number then you must add your new device to the Authenticator portal.
1. Go to https://mfa.wintec.ac.nz on a Wintec desktop or laptop.
2. Sign-in with your Wintec email address and password.
3. You will then need to approve the sign-in using Multi-Factor Authentication. IF you are still in possession of your existing device then approve it from the mobile application. If you are not in possession of the existing device you must select the option to ' Sign in another way '
4. Select the Call option as pictured below;
5. You will receive a robo-call, follow the instructions to Authenticate.
6. You will land on the following web-page, you now want to delete the Microsoft Authenticator that was associated with your old device.
7. Once the device has been deleted, please go to the following link to setup your new device with the Authenticator App;
